Scald 1 cup milk
Dissolve 1 pkg yeast in 1 cup water.
Combine:
2/3 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
1 c fresh mashed potatoes
Add cooled milk. Cool and add yeast. Add 2 beaten eggs and 1 1/2 t salt. Beat well. Add 2 c flour and ebat. Add 5-6 cups flour and knead thoroughly.
Grease, cover and let rise 1 hour. Put in fridge over night. Roll out and cut into doughnuts. Let rise 45 minutes. Fry in oil and glaze.
