Debbie's Caramels

2 c sugar
1 c Karo syrup
1 c canned milk
1/2 lb butter (2 sqares)

Stir over heat 15 minutes. Add 1 more cup canned milk. Cook until firm.

Take from heat and add: 1 t vanilla, nuts
